Leadcom CALA has been developing strategic partnerships with the principal wireless vendors in the region since 2002. As part of our regional geographic growth and expansion, one of these global partners and Leadcom Peru started collaborating with the execution of telecom implementation services in 2005.

In 2006, Leadcom Peru was called to provide full turnkey services for a leading vendor-partner. This deployment involved an initial 120 sites, evolving into a larger scale project, with an additional 350 sites. The vendor's customer in Peru is one of Latin America’s largest regional operators, with more than 100 million cellular customers throughout the region.

This aggressive full turnkey project in Peru – a country with a population of 28 million – consisted of the successful provisioning of towers and associated civil works, including site preparation for both greenfield and rooftop locations, and associated telecom implementation services for BSS and NSS systems. Leadcom also provided temporary power solutions by supplying and providing operational support of power generators to remote sites while commercial power was obtained. To meet the aggressive implementation schedules of nearly 120 sites required in the initial stage, Leadcom Peru utilized resources from other Leadcom subsidiaries in the Leadcom CALA region.

Leadcom Peru now has a permanent staff of 60 highly qualified resources capable of a broad range of wireless, core, data or optical disciplines as well as civil works, turnkey and engineering services, as demonstrated in this project. In 2007, Leadcom Peru is participating in the deployment of this customer's projected expansion program of over 350 additional full turnkey sites.
