A unique project with a telephone cooperative in Bolivia was concluded in 2006, demonstrating Leadcom's abilities as well as its offer as a Value Added Reseller.

This extensive project consists of upgrading an existing TDM network switch to a modern communication server carrier voice over IP (VoIP) softswitch. It is an IMS-ready carrier grade softswitch operating in an open standard VoIP network. As part of the overall solution, Leadcom engineers have offered an advanced access gateway solution. This solution is a compact next generation access platform that will provide a migration path from traditional telephony to VoIP and thereby enable a triple play services offering, i.e. the entire range of voice, data and TVoIP services in their access network.

Leadcom CALA will also provide ancillary platforms such as voice mail, power systems and all the required full turnkey engineering and integration expertise and services to ensure a seamless transition for the current TDM platform that is in service, to this new and exciting technology.

This project in Bolivia is an example, among many others in CALA and elsewhere, of Leadcom's role as a Value Added Reseller providing an innovative technical solution of an important global partner, to a customer operating a substantial cellular network. Designing the technical solution and then meeting the timing and cost specifications pre-defined, generates value for our partners, the operator and for Leadcom itself.
